It has been a short-lived relationship between Vogue Arabia and it’s editor-in-chief.
As Princess Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz has been appointed as editor in chief of Vogue Arabia, in July 2016. In the time since then, Vogue Arabia has launched a website bi-language website ( it’s in Arabic and English) and has released two issues, first in March and second in April. It is said she has been fired.
The shortness of this relationship might suggest there have been good reasons for this to happen. But at the same time, it feels the publishers haven’t put enough care into hiring best possible editor-in-chief. As in my opinion if they had chosen a person that would be a best possible candidate then it feels the relationship wouldn’t have finished so soon.
Of course, there are several statements to follow, so it will definitely be interesting to see how this situation will unfold.
